Brahman Bhojan
Meals Served Daily
In Sanatan Dharma, a Brahmin preserves and transmits Vedic knowledge through lifelong ritual discipline. When you feed a Brahmin with a declared sankalp, the food reaches your ancestors, fulfils your ritual obligations, and draws divine blessings toward your household. This is bhojan seva, service to saints and scholars as a direct act of dharma.
At Maharshi Ashram, Sector 110, Noida, away from the haste of central NCR, Jagadguru Swami Shri Satishacharya Ji Maharaj conducts brahman bhojan as a complete Vedic ritual with every step observed under scriptural authority.
देवालयकृते पुण्यं प्रतिमा-करणादिकम् । तत्फलं कोटिगुणितं जीर्णसंस्कारके भवेत् ॥
The merit gained by renovating an old temple is said to be millions of times greater than merely constructing a new one.

Food offered with a sankalp reaches departed souls and resolves pitru dosha in their name.

Each brahmin bhojan ceremony adds punya that protects your lineage across generations.

This sacred act of charity removes accumulated karmic burdens through selfless service (seva).

Sincere bhojan seva invites material stability and household peace through dharma-aligned giving.

Sankalp made in the giving of the bhoj of brahman is sent to the deity invoked by the Brahmin as an intermediary.

Religious food donation performed with the appropriate vidhi leads to spiritual enrichment and the emancipation of the donor's soul.

State your name, gotra, occasion, and intention clearly. A brahman bhojan without sankalp has no directed spiritual purpose.

Cleanse the space with Gangajal. Prepare the seating area with auspicious symbols beforehand.

Prepare only sattvic food, no onion, garlic, or meat. Purity of body and intention is required throughout preparation.

Wash the Brahmins' feet, apply a tilak, and seat them with honour. The Divine is received through them.

Serve the meal fully, without restriction. The brahman bhojan donation in kind must be wholesome and complete.

Once the food has been consumed, offer dakshina and vastra in devotion. It is the Brahmins' blessings that seal the sankalp at the time of departure.
Food should be unconditionally sattvic and pure; it should be prepared with body and will.
Onion, garlic, meat, and alcohol are strictly prohibited in food preparation and on the premises.
Only ask Brahmans in odd numbers: 1, 3, 5, or 11.
Do not bring negative thoughts while serving; mental purity during bhojan seva is as important as physical cleanliness.
The Brahmin is not allowed to eat with his back facing north.
Do not make donations on the day of the bhojan itself; dakshina and dravya are given on Tarpan and Shraddh days as prescribed.
Once the bhojan of the brahman is done, feed a cow, a crow and a dog to finish the offering.
Before the Brahmins leave, ask: "Kya aap trupt hain?" and receive their confirmation to close the ritual.
