Shyam Sunder Paliwal, a prominent Indian social activist and former Sarpanch of Piplantri village in Rajasthan, is widely known for his environmental and social initiatives. He received the Padma Shri Award in 2021 for his contribution to social work and rural development. In 2024, he was honoured as the “Green Crusader of the Year”, recognizing his efforts in promoting tree plantation, water conservation, and girl-child empowerment.
